Bliss Lawyers is seeking a media/advertising attorney with at least five years of experience advising clients on all legal and business affairs aspects of the production of scripted and unscripted content across multiple platforms. The attorney hired will work in the New York City office of a global corporation. Experience at a top law firm is required. Experience in the in-house legal and/or business affairs department of a studio, production company, network, or other media company focusing on content creation is preferred. Qualified candidates will have experience negotiating and drafting production-related agreements (e.g., talent agreements, synch/master use agreements, releases, location agreements, rights acquisition) and experience clearing third-party content for inclusion in TV or commercials production. Knowledge of relevant guilds (SAG, AFM, DGA, WGA, etc.) and of advertising practice and regulations are a plus. Admission to the New York Bar is required. This is a full-time, temporary role that is expected to last about three months and may extend. Interviews will begin immediately and the engagement will start as soon as a qualified candidate is identified.
