Overview: The Chief Privacy Officer will oversee all ongoing activities related to the global development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to Neustar’s privacy and data protection program and its commitment to Privacy by Design principles. This includes policies and procedures covering the privacy and security of online and offline consumer data that complies with various self-regulatory regimes, as well as federal, state, and international laws pertaining to information privacy practices for the commercial use of consumer data.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of law firm experience and five (5) years of corporate in-house experience as a privacy officer. Knowledge and experience in information privacy laws, access, release of information, and data breach notification laws. Knowledge and experience in self-regulatory codes and established relationships in key trade organizations such as Network Advertising Initiative (NAI), Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA), and Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB).
Compensation: Competitive base, bonus and LTI.
Location: Sterling, Virginia.
Relos: Local candidates preferred.
Bar: Must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
