Growing private company headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale is seeking a General Counsel. Reporting directly to the President, the General Counsel will manage the Company’s legal department on all contracting, compliance, regulatory and other legal issues necessary to support the operational needs of the company. Responsibilities include:
Drafting, negotiating and management of a wide range of telecommunication and technology focused agreements including but not limited to: vendor agreements, channel partner agreements, office leases, supplier service and service level agreements for transmission services, cloud services, equipment purchases and IT integration services.
Oversee work on compliance with routine FCC and state regulatory reporting requirements and regulatory fees.
Provide leadership, manage and supervise team of attorneys.
Litigation support to manage and direct outside counsel in miscellaneous litigation matters concerning commercial disputes.
JD degree from an ABA accredited law school. Member of the FL Bar or authorized in house counsel by the Florida Bar required.
Minimum 7+ years of experience in legal practice, preferably with law firm and in-house experience. Experience with telecommunications, technology, finance and banking.
Strong demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating complex telecommunication transactions.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively balance multiple ongoing projects.
Attention to detail and the ability to work individually, within a multi-disciplinary team, and external partners and vendors.
Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships to positively influence effective outcomes while maintaining adherence to proper legal standards.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
