Overview: Yazaki seeks a Mexican trained attorney to lead its team of Mexican lawyers in Monterrey. This person will be responsible for the overall functioning of the legal department in Mexico and will advise the business on matters related to compliance, international trade, maquiladora operations and transfer pricing agreements. The successful candidate will also serve as an advisor to the business leadership in Mexico on a range of matters. This role reports to the General Counsel-Americas.
Location: Monterrey, Mexico
Experience: The successful candidate will possess a law degree from a Mexican law school and a minimum of eight (8) years of legal practice experience gained in a leading law firm or corporate legal department. Experience managing other lawyers and working with US based professionals in a corporate setting is required. Industry experience is a plus, but not required.
Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits.
Relocation: Yes, within Mexico. Locals preferred.
