A privately held real estate company located in Philadelphia’s western suburbs seeks an attorney with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience that includes acquisitions, development and dispositions, ideally of multi-asset property portfolios, as well as leasing and financing. Tax and debt knowledge would be helpful, but not required. As Real Estate Counsel, the attorney will direct outside counsel, coordinate the activities of inside counsel, and provide legal guidance to all levels within the company. Additionally, the Real Estate Counsel will develop and maintain legal policies and procedures as well as the company’s library of standard legal documents and contracts. Qualified candidates will be flexible, adaptable, highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced team environment with a commitment to client service. While lawyers in private practice will be considered, the company values attorneys with practical business experience and acumen gained in-house. The company, which offers a competitive compensation package, prefers local candidates who do not need to relocate for the position.
