We are looking for a UK qualified lawyer with approximately 5-10 years’ experience at a law firm, government agency or in-house legal department to join Endeavor’s Compliance team. The ideal candidate has assisted in the building, implementation and execution of global compliance programs. This position reports to the Chief Compliance Officer.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Partner with members of the Compliance Team and other stakeholders to develop and implement an effective compliance program.
Provide day-to-day advice to business unit lawyers and executives, with focus EU-based entities, in key risk areas including Competition Laws, Anti-Corruption and Sanctions.
Manage all EU-based inquiries and allegations made through Business Ethics Helpline, leading internal investigations and providing regular reports to Chief Compliance Officer and business stakeholders as needed.
Draft policies and procedures to address key business risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws globally.
Manage gift and business entertainment policies and workflows to assess levels of risk, implement controls and track approvals of hospitality expenditures involving commercial and government recipients to ensure compliance with relevant anti-bribery/anti-corruption laws, as well as applicable sanctions, gift rules, and other relevant regulations.
Assist in development and implementation of procedures effectively track and manage third party engagements, including conducting due diligence and training; securing appropriate affirmation, representations and warranties; providing appropriate oversight and conducting ongoing monitoring/audits as needed.
Conduct due diligence on new acquisitions and significant investments; develop integration plans; conduct training and implement compliance processes and controls; and to assist with monitoring and auditing to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws and Company policies and procedures.
Conduct risk assessments and make proactive adjustments to continually update and improve upon compliance program, anticipating changing business models and keeping pace with evolving legal and regulatory requirements.
Assist in development and delivery of online and in-person training for EU-based businesses, serving as subject matter expert for various policy areas (e.g., antitrust, anticorruption, sanctions, data privacy).
Monitor updates to laws and regulations, assess the impact on current Endeavor systems and processes, and modify processes and procedures as necessary to ensure compliance.
Assist with various compliance projects and perform other compliance program-related duties as needed.
· Qualified UK lawyer with 5-10 years’ post-qualification experience.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a compliance professional with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the required elements of effective compliance programs.
