Our client is a Long Island based $4B+ NYSE traded technology company that is seeking an AGC-Procurement & Commercial.
This role will be responsible for all legal aspects of the company's global procurement contracting function, as well as providing support to the Americas business legal teams for commercial matters in connection with drafting and maintaining standard contracts, negotiating, drafting and amending contracts in the Americas. This scope includes resolving legal and commercial contract related problems and disputes that affect the broad spectrum of operations and assisting in the establishment of overall policies (and the enforcement thereof) as they relate to contracts and other legally binding business arrangements involving the development, sale and procurement of products and/or services. You will anticipate and mitigate potential legal problems within the Company, and develop strategies to institute supply chain certainty and legal best practices, avoid costly litigation and reduce potential areas of risk.
Responsibilities will include: • Draft, implement and maintain up-to-date standard contracts for all standard business and procurement transactions. • Review proposed business contracts and identify risk areas to business management with recommendations as to risk containment. • Participate as a key member of the negotiating team in contract discussions with customers and suppliers. • Assist in all corporate acquisitions, mergers, and sales.
Candidates must have five to twelve years of strong procurement experience, with both major law firm training and at least two years of in-house experience.
