The attorney will be responsible for leading and supporting our client’s IP and licensing matters with an emphasis on R&D, new product development and acquisition, and in-licensing of third-party technology worldwide. The attorney will also have broad legal generalist role and must be comfortable working with all levels of the organization in a fast-paced and collegial environment.
Provide advice with respect to IP and licensing matters; supervise outside counsel as required to provide critical support on complex legal and business issues; and provide support for a broad range of commercial and transactional day-to-day matters worldwide.
Strong background in Intellectual Property and licensing matters with an emphasis on R&D, new product development & acquisition and in-licensing of third-party technology preferably in the pharmaceutical industry; in-house experience with respect to commercial agreements, broad range of M&A/divestiture/strategic alliance matters, experience in employment law, regulatory matters and contract management; bar admittance in NJ (or eligibility for limited in-house license);at least 10 years of practice, including at least 3 years at a sophisticated corporate/commercial law firm plus at least 3 years in-house.
