MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. (MedImpact) has retained Major, Lindsey & Africa on an exclusive basis to conduct a search for a Supervising Attorney to be located in its San Diego, CA headquarters.
MedImpact is a privately held pharmacy benefit manager that offers solutions and services to positively influence healthcare outcomes and expenditures, while improving their clients' positions in the markets. MedImpact offers high-value solutions to payers, providers, and consumers of healthcare in the U.S. and foreign markets.
The Supervising Attorney is responsible for assisting the MedImpact General Counsel and the supervision of other in-house attorneys with a large variety of legal matters. This position supports organizational stakeholders by responding to and providing guidance to questions, requests, contract reviews and audit related activities. The Supervising Attorney reviews and redrafts communications to clients, internal employees, and external third parties. In addition, the Supervising Attorney works under the direction of the SVP Corporate Services and General Counsel.
The successful candidate must have at least a minimum of eight (8) + years of direct experience with Pharmacy Benefit Management, PBM-related pharmacy, or healthcare (with specific PBM-related pharmacy experience) industry, pharmacy networks (pricing, contracts, etc.). Must be in good standing with the California Bar or be able to become a registered In-House Counsel. Relocation assistance is available.
