Our client, a dynamic leading supplier of integrated automated technology, software and services, is seeking an experienced attorney to join as Compliance Officer. This role will lead and enhance their world-class compliance programs.
Responsibilities for this role will include:
-Lead and enhance the company's global compliance program, including with respect to business conduct, anti-corruption, trade sanctions, competition law and privacy.
-Coordinate with management, HR an Internal Audit on disciplinary actions in case of Compliance breaches.
-Coordinate and conduct training of employees regarding compliance with laws and policies.
-Coordinate and conduct a risk assessment of company's significant legal and compliance risks.
-Provide support and advice to business teams on compliance and policy matters.
-Coordinate closely with other functions, such as HR, Finance, Internal Audit and Legal. Build partnerships with these groups.
-Coordinate compliance-related communications.
-Work with Internal Audit to determine whether there are adequate internal controls supporting the company’s compliance objectives.
-Conduct reviews of each part of the Compliance program to determine its effectiveness.
Candidates must have the following qualifications in order to be considered:
-10+ years combined law firm & in-house experience as a practicing compliance professional.
-Have led or managed significant functions of a global compliance program.
-In-depth experience leading anti-bribery and anti-corruption compliance programs to meet the requirements of the FCPA, UK Bribery Act and similar anti-corruption laws globally.
-International business and/or compliance experience.
-Practical experience working with EU privacy programs.
-Excellent communications skills; both verbal & written.
Excellent leadership skills, including leading teams with different professional and cultural background at all levels of hierarchy
