Company: Five Below is a rapidly growing, publically traded, specialty value retailer offering a broad range of trend-right, high-quality merchandise targeted at the teen and pre-teen customer with annual revenues in 2017 of over $1 billion. The Company offers a dynamic, edited assortment of exciting products, all priced at $5 and below.
Overview: The Senior Vice President and General Counsel will be a member of Five Below’s executive team and has overall responsibility for coordinating all legal activities within the Company. The General Counsel will be the principal legal officer of the Company with responsibility for coordinating both internal and external legal resources. The General Counsel will also serve as a principal strategic and business advisor to the CEO and other senior management members across all of the Company's business units worldwide. The General Counsel will be a principal advisor to the Board of Directors and will serve as the Corporate Secretary.
Experience: The successful candidate will have proven success as a general counsel or deputy general counsel in a large, multi-divisional service environment. A minimum of 15 years of legal experience, including at least five years of experience as an attorney in a top-tier law firm, and excellent academic credentials, including a J.D. from a top-tier law school, are required. Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, high integrity and ethics and outstanding judgment, not only in legal matters but in other business issues with possible legal or reputational ramifications, are also required. The successful candidate will have the ability to operate flexibly and effectively in a fast-paced, innovative and constantly changing environment.

Bar: Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania or admitted to a State Bar of any U.S. State or the District of Columbia and eligible for a PA Limited In-House Counsel License.
