We are seeking a self-motivated and independent attorney to join the NRT Southeast Regional legal group (which consists of Florida, Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Delaware). This position will be based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and reports to NRT’s Regional Counsel. Some travel required.
Representing the company and affiliated real estate agents in litigation, arbitration, mediation and regulatory proceedings.
Investigating legal issues, interpreting laws and regulations involving varied substantive legal areas, including real estate brokerage, contracts, regulatory compliance, fair housing, and licensing.
Providing counseling to executive and branch office management.
Drafting various agreements and forms.
Managing outside counsel.
Providing risk-management training and continuing education.
At least 7 years litigation experience required, and ideal candidate will have experience with / knowledge of real estate brokerage laws and regulations (position does involve handling litigation in Florida).
Membership in Florida Bar.
