Global audiovisual licensing organization is seeking in-house legal counsel to provide legal support to the company’s European business units. This position, based in Germany, provides general commercial and legal advice to the regional business, manages outside counsel, and is a member of the corporate business leadership team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an independent legal professional, with strong communication skills, to be the sole legal representative in Europe. The position is responsible for handling all legal questions that arise in Europe including but not limited to
negotiating and assisting key executives with obtaining and retaining rights,
ensuring the smooth exploitation of rights,
advising on contracts,
compliance with European law,
Trademark registration, and
any other matters facing the company.
The office is in Wachenheim an der Weinstraße, Germany with frequent travel required to the UK, Europe, and occasional trips to the US headquarters in Los Angeles, California USA.
You must have completed your legal education with high grades, be qualified to practice law with European qualification, and can act as in-house counsel.
You must have not less than three years’ experience with an in-house legal department of a professional services firm.
