We seek a transactional real estate attorney with significant office and retail leasing experience to join our legal team as in-house counsel. This individual will work closely with, and report to, company executives. Working with our two other in-house attorneys, the vast majority of our transactional work is handled in-house. The primary duties consist of handling all aspects of office and retail leases and vendor contracts for the company’s diverse portfolio located primarily in the greater Los Angeles area. Experience handling purchase and sale, financing, development and construction-related transactions is a plus. Additional duties include support to acquisitions and asset management personnel (e.g., due diligence review, tenant correspondence, letter of intent review, etc.).
The successful candidate will be detail oriented, will be able to multi-task and operate in a dynamic, high-paced environment, and exercise good business judgment while providing outstanding legal advice.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a transactional commercial real estate leasing attorney in California; purchase and sale, financing, and construction experience is beneficial
* Both law firm and in-house experience preferred
* JD from top law school preferred; admitted to the California State Bar
Pay will be commensurate with experience and is for a salaried position.
