New York City-based publicly-traded REIT with focus on investments in residential mortgage finance assets seeks experienced corporate/finance attorney to join in-house legal team to provide practical advice and support on a range of real estate finance transactions.
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating documentation in connection with investment in and management of residential mortgage loan portfolios, including mortgage loan purchase agreements, servicing agreements, custodial agreements and bailee letters
Reviewing and negotiating documentation in connection with the financing of mortgage assets, including loan facility agreements, security documentation, guarantees, ancillary documents and corporate authority documents
Reviewing documentation in connection with structuring and execution of RMBS securitization transactions
Reviewing and negotiating documentation in connection with structuring and formation of trusts and other entities used in connection with investment activities
Understanding of regulatory and compliance issues applicable to investments in residential mortgage loans
Experience in reviewing and negotiating ISDA Master Agreements and Credit Support Annexes and/or repurchase agreements a plus
4-7 years of experience with excellent academic and law firm credentials
