Role Summary: Handle a wide range of legal responsibilities as assigned and supervised by the SVP and General Counsel, including participating in business, operational and strategic decisions; advising leadership on legal strategies, issues and risk management. Management of outside counsel, supervision and training junior staff as required. Other duties as assigned. While position will be based in Boston (preferred) or New York, some travel is expected. 7-10 years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience with life sciences companies. Significant prior experience in most of the following areas is desirable: corporate and securities law, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and private capital finance, equity compensation, employment, compliance, and transnational transactions. Experience advising high-level executives and boards is a plus.
Juris Doctorate degree and admission to a state bar, preferably,New York or Massachusetts.
Excellent communications skills and ability to work effectively with teams in fast-paced dynamic environments.
Strong work ethic, ability to multitask, and proven track record of consistently delivering high quality work product under pressure.
