Well established company that services Latin America and the Caribbean is in growth mode and is seeking a talented Associate General Counsel for the company’s corporate headquarters in Miami, FL. This attorney will report into the General Counsel and will have 7+ years’ experience as a corporate generalist who will be responsible for managing and negotiating client contracts and providing legal support and counsel on everything from contracts, compliance, regulatory to corporate matters. JD degree and membership in at least one US state bar. Florida Bar highly preferred.
7 + years of corporate legal experience, including at a law firm or prior in-house experience.
Experience drafting and negotiating a wide variety of contracts and subcontracts, including contract modifications, contract compliance, and contract requirements.
Support compliance-related functions throughout the company, including local, state and federal regulatory compliance efforts.
Ability to work independently and as a team. Must be self sufficient and able to work with minimal staff support.
Ability to travel internationally as needed (approximately 5% of time)
Spanish language is preferred but not required
