We are looking for our next Real Estate and Corporate Counsel for our North American Headquarters in Roswell, Georgia. This is a cross-functional position that provides legal advice and services to assigned business units throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. You will be a trusted partner to your assigned businesses, driving contract negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and customers. You will also be the sole in-house resource supporting Imerys’ North American real estate portfolio, which is critical to our mining operations throughout the region.
The Real Estate and Corporate Counsel is a valued partner to assigned business units, helping to minimize risk while promoting growth of the business. We are a cohesive legal team that supports a global powerhouse in our industry.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages all real estate work for the Group in North America, including significant lands transactions, mining leases, participation in M&A, and supporting the Lands Management staff;
Drafts, negotiates, and finalizes a wide variety of real estate and commercial agreements;
Serves as primary lawyer for assigned business units conducting operations in North America;
Coordinates with European colleagues in negotiating international commercial agreements;
Independently conducts and directs complex negotiations for a broad spectrum of matters;
Assists with additional tasks and projects as required, including mergers & acquisitions and other significant business transactions.

J.D. degree and membership in good standing in at least one state bar;
Three or more years of recent experience focused on real estate and commercial transactions, either in-house or at a reputable law firm;
Exceptional written and oral communication skills (Spanish fluency a plus);
Experience in bankruptcy, technology development, trade/customs, or logistics a plus;
Sound and practical business judgment and a keen interest in deeply understanding the businesses you represent;
Experienced user of Microsoft Office; experience using Google Suite and contract management software a plus;
Proven ability to manage a large number and variety of mission-critical projects, working independently; and
Minimal travel required (fewer than 15 days per year).
Additional Salary Information: Market salary plus bonus up to 36%
