Global Company seeks a motivated Associate General Counsel with 5+ years to work on legal team in its corporate headquarters. This position will report into the General Counsel and will focus on the company’s international trade and regulatory matters. Responsibilities include: monitor legal and regulatory developments in the trade and regulatory areas; collaborate with government authorities and legal department; and advise partners on export, import laws, ITAR, sanctions, TSA, FAA, and DOT regulatory matters. J.D. degree and membership in at least one US state bar; authorized in house counsel in FL
5+ years of experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house with experience representing companies in international trade and regulatory inquiries (former government experience a plus)
Expertise in EAR, FTR, ITAR, OFAC, CBP regulations with knowledge of TSA, FAA, BATF regulations.
Experience with Waasenaar Arrangement and trade laws of key markets in the Americas including USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, etc.
Experience managing or contributing to internal investigations on trade or regulatory compliance violations including the development and administration of compliance metrics. Experience dealing with OEE, OFAC, DOJ, FISA subpoena inquiries.
