Major, Lindsey & Africa is pleased to announce that on behalf of our client, the American Medical Association, we are seeking to fill the role of Assistant General Counsel, Digital. The AMA, founded in 1847, is the largest association of physicians and medical students in the United States, leading meaningful innovation to enable a better health system for patients, physicians, and the country.
The Assistant General Counsel, Digital will serve as a primary legal counsel and will be a proactive and strategic partner to certain of the AMA’s business units, including the AMA’s innovative health solutions group, one of its primary revenue drivers. Responsibilities will also include negotiating and drafting complex agreements, as well as maintaining subject matter expertise and conducting other highly complex work critical to the AMA.
This is a national search and relocation is available.
The successful candidate will have at least ten (10+) years of experience as a practicing lawyer, with significant experience in digital marketing, digital health and emerging technologies. Exposure to both a law firm and a corporate environment is preferred, with a strong understanding of U.S. data protection and privacy laws, preferably including GLBA, FCRA, DPPA, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, FTC Guidelines, and similar laws.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
