Proactive management of labor and employment claims and matters, including active participation in mediations, arbitration and litigation.
Drafting employee onboarding and separation documents.
Providing labor and employment-related legal advice and counsel to the company's Human Resources professionals and company management across a spectrum of issues, including: terminations and discipline, reorganizations, reductions in force, leaves of absence and reasonable accommodations, wage and hour considerations, compensation plans, harassment and discrimination investigations and outcomes.
Participating in investigations in collaboration with Chief Compliance Officer.
Developing and delivering training and development to associates on employment matters.
Participating in the due diligence and agreement negotiation for acquisitions and divestitures.
Reviewing and drafting company employment-related policies and manuals and employee communications.
Identifying and developing appropriate compliance strategies to ensure company-wide compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
Assisting with other legal matters as the need arises, including regulatory and litigation matters.
Experience 6-10 years
Large law firm experience preferred; prior in-house experience desired but not required
Excellent academic credentials
Licensed to practice in at least one State
