Supporting various functions, including sales, lease, closing, refinance, property tax protests, insurance claims and general support. This role will report to and assist the General Counsel with all real estate matters.
Participate with team members involved in developing strategy in conjunction with various business units
Responsible (with others) for development and implementation of policies and procedures related to real estate activities
Represents (with others) the company in the acquisitions of retail/office/industrial/warehouse and coordinating due diligence review
Drafts leases for retail, office, and industrial properties
Monitors civil litigation involving the company
Assists with real estate broker and sales person licensing
Prepares and participates in property tax protests on behalf of the company
Drafts purchase and sale agreements, loan documents (purchase and refinance), deeds, deeds of trust, and other closing documents
Reviews tenant leases for legal and internal compliance
Reviews and coordinates property management functions
Point of Contact for legal Property Mgmt. related issues
Documents and manages Landlord/Tenant disputes
Prepares Landlord default notices
Coordinating in-house checklist items
Assist in general legal questions/issues
Assists and performs duties as requested by General Counsel

Highly organized, detail-oriented and motivated individual with 0-5 years of real estate law experience
Active Texas state bar license and member in good standing with Texas state bar
Commercial real estate and/or property tax experience is a plus
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
Must be a team player
