Overview: Adaptive Biotechnologies is seeking a Vice President, Assistant General Counsel to join their legal team. Under direction of Adaptive’s General Counsel, this position will lead and manage transactions in support of the clinical laboratory, diagnostics, and research commercial teams, ensuring compliance with various regulatory requirements such as CLIA, GDPR, HIPPA, FDA, Medicare Fraud and Abuse, and the Stark Law. The lawyer in this role will draft, negotiate, manage and advise senior management on commercial, technology, collaborations, research, and supply transactions in support of Adaptive’s business objectives. In addition, the successful candidate will support the build-out of improved internal corporate systems and processes, working with other stakeholders in Adaptive’s internal finance, compliance and technical groups.
Firm: Adaptive Biotechnologies, a leader in next-generation sequencing (NGS) of T- and B-cell receptors of the adaptive immune system is pioneering the use of immunosequencing to revolutionize patient care. They translate the scale and precision of the adaptive immune system into products to diagnose and treat disease.
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Excellent benefits package including employer paid medical, dental, vision, vacations and holidays.
Experience: 7+ years of directly relevant experience in biotechnology, diagnostics and/or clinical laboratory commercial contracting, including drafting and negotiation. Stellar candidates with experience in pharmaceutical industries will also be considered.
Bar: Member of the Washington State Bar Association, or eligible for admission via in-house rule.
