Leading, professional services firm providing innovative systems and products to government (federal, state, defense and civil) customers worldwide, seeks to hire an accomplished government contracts lawyers with a minimum of twenty years’ experience. This position results from a pending retirement.
A unique feature of this position is the ability to serve as an operations counsel (defacto general counsel) for a division within one of the company’s business sectors. While maintaining your government contracts core focus, you will gain experience akin to that of a generalist in-house counsel for a small company supporting a business sector with all of its legal needs.
This corporate counsel position requires a minimum of twenty years’ prior experience in federal procurement matters, ideally combining AmLaw 100 law firm training and prior in-house or government experience. Ability to respond to a range of legal issues that arise from diverse business activities is required as is the ability to work collaboratively and build internal relationships.
This position allows you to build upon government contracts expertise while expanding your substantive knowledge in related disciplines. You will be affiliated with a corporate leader and will benefit from the training and expertise of like-minded and trained elite colleagues. Compensation includes base salary on the upper end of in-house compensation in the region, a performance based bonus and an anticipated annual equity (cash equivalent) grant based on corporate performance and demonstrated personal contributions. *Rare partner level opening at this Fortune 200 Company.
