Our client, a market leader private technology company, seeks to hire a Senior Corporate Counsel/AGC for its growing legal department. The company was founded by a serial entrepreneur CEO with a proven track record, including taking a company public. Our client has attracted an impressive line of top tier investors and board members – and has raised over $150M in capital. The position will report directly to the Chief Business Affairs & Legal Officer, who will be a great supervisor and mentor. This is a rare, ground floor opportunity to build something important and work on an exciting product with ample growth potential that is actually fun and bringing people together by removing cultural barriers.
The ideal candidate will have 5-12 years of legal experience in positions of increasing responsibility at high-growth companies. Experience at a SaaS, cloud computing or enterprise software B2C company is a strong plus. S/he will possess substantive experience in the following substantive areas:
Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including sales, partnership, and inbound agreements, NDAs, and vendor agreements;
Counseling on product development, privacy (including GDPR), data protection, and compliance issues;
Managing the development of a company’s intellectual property portfolio;
Designing and building legal processes to support the company’s operations and scale including policies and procedures, form creation and automation, contracts management systems, approval escalation path and playbooks; and
Corporate governance and SEC compliance.
