Company: Founded in 2004, Enviva produces and supplies utility-grade wood pellets to major power customers. Enviva is the world’s largest producer of wood pellets, a cleaner energy alternative to fossil fuels. Enviva owns and operates six plants located in the southeastern United States that produce almost three million tons of wood pellets annually. The Company exports pellets primarily to power plants in the United Kingdom, Europe and increasingly Asia that previously were fueled by coal, enabling them to reduce their carbon footprint by about 80 percent.
Experience: The successful candidate will have 2+ years of law firm or in-house transactional experience, ideally in the energy space, with strong competency in drafting, negotiating and providing legal advice with respect to a broad range of sales and commercial contracts. Must be fluent in Japanese and English.
Compensation: Competitive base and bonus commensurate with experience.
Location: Bethesda, Maryland and Tokyo, Japan.
Bar: Must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
