UNITY Biotechnology is an early-stage biotechnology company developing therapeutics to slow, halt or reverse diseases of aging.
UNITY is seeking a senior biotechnology transactional attorney who will thrive in a small but very dynamic R&D and business environment. The position will report to the General Counsel.
In the near term, responsibilities will include:
(a) being the primary point of contact for legal contract issues for UNITY, (b) drafting and negotiating contracts and other legal documents in support of a broad range of teams including research, development, clinical, operations (i.e., CMC) and business development/commercial, and (c) assisting in implementing and managing the UNITY’s compliance with regulatory requirements.
Longer term responsibilities will include working closely with the Legal team, senior management, and various departments across the company to support our growing activities.

Experience: 8 years of experience --ideally 2-4 years with a leading law firm and 4-6 years of biotechnology industry/in house experience.
