This attorney will assist in legal issues for the firm’s global operations/transactions and lead the Americas compliance program. This attorney will report to CBRE Global Investors’ Deputy General Counsel, who is at the firm’s headquarters in Los Angeles. By necessity, a strong and close working relationship will exist between the candidate and the senior management of the Americas as well as global business. Specific responsibilities will include: Overseeing legal matters for both the Americas and global business, including advising and negotiating on corporate transactional matters, supervising outside counsel and overseeing the structuring of investment programs (including negotiations with investors and clients), labor & employment, regulatory, litigation, corporate governance, fund-level compliance and risk management matters; Overseeing the Americas compliance program, including collaborating with the Global Chief Compliance Officer to strategically manage and administer the local compliance program and ongoing compliance activities, such as developing and implementing policies and procedures, monitoring the effectiveness of controls and performing local compliance review functions.
