Our client is a fast paced Fortune 500 technology driven company in the Bay Area. This role will be responsible for managing employee mobility and investigation matters, with a focus on trade secret protection. This position requires identifying and solving complex problems that impact the direction of a global business, including advising on risk management, employee mobility, privacy, and intellectual property protection issues. In addition, this role also requires expertise in electronic discovery, computer forensics, data and cybersecurity, and other regulatory and compliance issues.
The candidate will be expected to have a solid foundation of employment and litigation experience and possess strong investigation skills to manage diverse, complex, and global projects. The selected candidate will also play a critical role in internal and external coordination and project management between HR, Forensics & Data Security, IT, and business clients. This includes participating in corporate strategy as well as in shaping policy, programs, and training on issues related to employee mobility, intellectual property, privacy, data security, and information governance.
Candidates must have the following qualifications to be considered:
-Six plus years of experience (mixture of litigation or employment at top tier law firm and/or as in-house counsel)
-Demonstrated thought leader and expert in intellectual property, with experience conducting complex investigations and partnering on litigation
-Ability to assess risk, engage in early case assessment, and leverage strategies for cost reduction and timely and effective corrective action
-Experience with multidisciplinary project teams or global initiatives
-Ability to work both independently and within a team to manage and conduct global investigations, and ability to gain the trust of business stakeholders to achieve a desired objective
