OVERVIEW: This is an exceptional opportunity to join a growing organization that has a solid foundation but is also at a size where a single contributor can have a dramatic impact and touch on multiple facets of the business. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, the Senior Counsel will provide legal services to the Company, with an emphasis on complex contracting. In addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to advise Company clients on a broad variety of legal matters, which may include corporate governance, securities, litigation or employment. The Senior Counsel will interact with top executives and major customers, often in high-stakes situations which require negotiation and strategic thinking. COMPANY: Founded in 1996, Dynavax is a fully-integrated biopharmaceutical company focused on leveraging the power of the body’s innate and adaptive immune responses through toll-like receptor (“TLR”) stimulation. Its first commercial product, HEPLISAV-B®, was approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) in November 2017 for prevention of infection caused by all known subtypes of hepatitis B virus in adults age 18 years and older.
