Our client, a leading national new-home warranty company is seeking a 3 plus years experienced claims attorney who will be responsible for the investigation, analysis, and settlement of diverse claims throughout the country with the primary focus on Colorado, Texas, and New York. This position will have input and underwriting authority with regards to new and renewal customers and be a senior member of the executive team. Responsibilities will include supporting legal claims by working with outside counsel and opposing counsel, representing the company at depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. drafting and implementing contracts with builders, assisting with determinations of coverage, investigation, analysis, negotiation and resolution of subrogation claims, claims negotiations and settlement resolutions, analysis of construction contracts, and warranty books, court appearances for case management , communicating with engineers and contractors, and overall legal operations management.
