Major, Lindsey & Africa has been engaged on an exclusive basis by Global Brass and Copper Holdings, Inc. (“GBC”) to identify an Associate General Counsel to work at GBC’s headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. Global Brass and Copper Holdings, Inc., a public company with $1.3B in revenues, is a leading, value-added converter, fabricator, processor and distributor of specialized non-ferrous products, including a wide range of sheet, strip, foil, rod, tube and fabricated metal component products. The majority of GBC’s operations and sales activities are focused in North America under the Olin Brass, Chase Brass and A.J. Oster brand names.
Reporting to the General Counsel of Global Brass and Copper Holdings, Inc., the Associate General Counsel will primarily support the GBC business units, but responsibilities will also include assisting the General Counsel with the oversight of other legal activities of GBC. The successful candidate will have at least five (5) to seven (7) years of legal experience preferably gained in a major law firm and as in-house counsel handling general commercial and business matters, including complex commercial contracts, transactional matters, intellectual property, and compliance and regulatory matters, among other areas. Prior law firm experience is required. Prior in-house experience is strongly preferred.
