Corporate Generalist, General Commercial/Contracts
We are looking for an energetic, independent, results-oriented attorney to join our fast-growing company. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be part of a small, agile legal team. This is a great opportunity to work directly with in-house clients in all levels of the business and to make a meaningful impact in a growing company. You must have excellent judgment and a proven ability to quickly learn new areas of law and independently manage multiple projects in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
Review and revise a wide variety of commercial contracts involving telecommunications, digital marketing, SaaS, service agreements, hardware and software procurement, among others
Participate in the management, maintenance and improvement of the company's contract management system
Provide ongoing legal counsel to all levels of internal business owners
Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks
Develop and implement various legal compliance initiatives and training programs
Contribute to other legal department goals and duties as needed
J.D. from an ABA accredited institution
Admitted to, active and in good standing with the State Bar of Wisconsin
At least three years of relevant work experience (some in-house experience is preferred)
Background in negotiating commercial contracts, preferably technology or telecommunications agreements
Strong technical writing and drafting skills, with the ability to adjust tone and content as appropriate for various legal and business audiences
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic, business-oriented practical advice and solutions
Exceptional attention to detail, organization and efficiency
Ability to self-start, meet deadlines, prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work well with change in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate complex legal concepts confidently and effectively with all audiences
Strong computer skills and software application proficiency in platforms such as Microsoft Office
