Kuehne + Nagel Inc. ("K+N") seeks to recruit an individual who is results-oriented, pragmatic, and comfortable working with people from different nationalities, cultures, and geographical locations. He or she will need to be comfortable working with Top and Senior Management, and possess the ability to lead others toward achieving a common goal.
The position holder should also have a demonstrated interest in, knowledge of, and ability to share globally, the intricacies of regulatory and legal developments in the USA and the North American Region ("NAM" or "Region"). Knowledge of the logistics industry is helpful, but not a requirement.
The Regional Compliance Officer would work out of NAM Headquarters based in Jersey City, NJ, and would report to the Global Chief Compliance Officer based in Schindellegi, Switzerland.
The position holder should have a strong background in the area of anti-bribery/anti-corruption (e.g., Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) and antitrust; and would be in charge of the implementation, monitoring, and the continuous improvement of K+N’s compliance program throughout the Region.
This role would include analyzing legal or regulatory developments that could impact K+N’s business, as well as ensuring that K+N employees and suppliers’ adhere to K+N’s compliance policies, such as K+N's Code of Conduct Policy.
The position holder also would be responsible for:
Developing and delivering targeted compliance trainings;
Raising compliance awareness among internal business and functional units;
Providing progress reports about compliance-related topics to the Chief Compliance Officer; and
Ensuring proper due diligence is performed on third parties commensurate with levels of risk

Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (at a minimum)
Comfortable with Managing Data, Generating Reports
Proficiency in Spanish is a bonus, but not required.
