Overview: The Senior Counsel will join a 50-person legal department which includes 30+ attorneys and other professionals and be primarily responsible for negotiating and drafting a wide range of license and commercial agreements including brand licenses, MSA’s, work for hire agreements, development agreements, vendor and supply agreements, digital agreements, software licenses and other corporate-related agreements. He/she will also counsel internal clients on contract terms, both local and global, including advising and tailoring language to local requirements with deep knowledge of US and NY law along with the ability to spot European legal concepts. The Senior Counsel will take a lead role in developing an automated contract management system and process, including developing templates and best practices for recurring contracts and related management tools, guidelines and trainings to streamline, accelerate and automate the contract review process. This role will report to the SVP Legal-Global Business Services & Licensing.
