Our client, a rapidly-growing international company, is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join its in-house legal team at the company’s U.S. corporate headquarters in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The successful candidate will have 4+ years of experience in the following areas:
• Regulatory compliance and customs, including issues with product labeling, recalls, highway safety regulations, and import/export controls • Contract drafting and review • Consumer law matters and claims • Employment law and benefits experience
The ideal candidate will have prior hand-on industry experience in manufacturing and/or warehousing and distribution. A mix of private law firm and in-house experience is strongly preferred.
This is an exciting opportunity in which the attorney will regularly interface with business managers, executives, clients, and other legal professionals throughout the U.S. and abroad. In addition, the role will regularly involve providing advice and counsel, being up to date on applicable laws and regulations and negotiating and drafting various sophisticated and complex customer agreements.
