Are you an experienced municipal securities lawyer with expertise in of public finance investment banking and related matter?
Would you like to be part of a dynamic corporate legal team, focused on supporting a significant and growing segment of a wealth management business?

If you can answer yes to these questions, then we are looking for someone like you to:
work extensively with the our municipal markets business group to support its public finance investment banking, negotiated/competitive underwriting and capital markets sales and trading desks related to the business
support and advise on complex financial transactions and sophisticated public finance deals
work directly with business, legal, and control function management
respond to ad hoc requests from internal and external sources, and work on other special projects involving the public finance municipal securities business
Compensation range is $180K-$300K plus bonus depending on experience.
You will be part of the Wealth Management Americas legal team, reporting directly to the head of the WMA Capital Markets legal team. You will be based in our Northern, NJ offices.
Your experience and skills:
a JD degree with current admission to the Bar
10+ years of legal experience, predominantly focused on municipal public finance business, with knowledge of and expertise In MSRB, SEC, and other related regulations
experience working with or in the financial services sector
general corporate legal skills relating to corporate governance and inter-entity agreements
strong analytical skills and demonstration of thought leadership
experience working with broker-dealer compliance departments
a dedicated team spirit and ability to interact and communicate with colleagues on all levels
familiar with both recently implemented and near-future regulatory changes affecting the municipal securities business
confident in your ability to advise and communicate effectively on a variety of muni matters with a varied internal constituency (such as bankers, underwriters, institutional sales persons, traders, capital markets management, and occasionally clients of the firm) both verbally and in written materials
Additional Salary Information: Plus bonus depending upon experience
