The Senior Counsel (Counsel) will provide legal advice, negotiate customer and supplier contracts, and be a valued advisor to one or more Chart business groups, including the BioMedical Group and the Corporate function. The Counsel will support sales processes in the BioMedical Group by negotiating Sales, Distributor, and Independent Sales Representative agreements as well as documents governing Direct-to-Consumer Sales Channel activities; advising on healthcare compliance, quality and regulatory matters, research and development, HIPAA, Internet sales, marketing materials, and other issues; and developing consulting, purchasing, and non-disclosure agreements. S/he will support the Corporate function by advising on data privacy, HR contracts, travel-related contracts, and M&A transactions and non-disclosure agreements.
Chart’s focus is cryogenics; the company is a recognized global brand for the design and manufacture of highly engineered cryogenic equipment used in the liquid gas supply chain. Its products are critical components in the separation of oxygen, nitrogen and noble gases from air and in the processing and liquefaction of natural gas. Its distribution and storage products and engineered systems facilitate the delivery and end-use of liquid gases across a multitude of applications in industry and for energy. In the life sciences sector, Chart’s MVE brand is the benchmark for biological storage systems, used for the cryogenic preservation of human and animal tissues. Through the CAIRE brand, Chart is the leading provider of respiratory products for the home healthcare market. Chart has domestic operations in eight US states and international engineering and manufacturing in Australia, China, the Czech Republic, Germany and the United Kingdom.
At least 8+ years related experience, specifically with contract negotiation. In-house experience preferred. Experience with the following is preferred: healthcare, consumer products sales, data privacy, anti-kickback / Stark / Sunshine Act, quality and regulatory issues, HIPAA, and Internet sales.

Admittance to at least one U.S. State Bar and eligibility for admission to GA State Bar by exam or reciprocity.
