GENERAL CORPORATE ATTORNEY POSITION WITH ONE OF THE WORLD’S MOST PROFITABLE COMPANIES
Hawryluk Advisors has been retained exclusively by Saudi Aramco, the world's largest integrated oil, natural gas, and petrochemicals company, to find an attorney with 6+ years of sophisticated general commercial and corporate governance experience for its Law Organization at its headquarters in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
As the world’s largest energy company, Saudi Aramco has many international joint ventures, affiliates, and subsidiaries. The Law Organization’s General Corporate and Commercial Contracts Practice Team manages the legal, general commercial, and corporate governance issues for these entities, primarily from a shareholder and governance perspective.
This attorney may serve as the corporate secretary for one or more entities, organizing and managing board meetings, and advising as to board authority and corporate governance matters. He or she will also advise as to shareholder issues and manage the interface between the entity, the parent, and other affiliates.
Additionally, this attorney also will work closely with internal Saudi Aramco clients and support their substantial and complex contracting and purchasing functions by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating related commercial agreements.
This attorney also may advise as to internal policies, review and resolve claims, and provide training to company personnel on legal and compliance matters.
Candidates for this position should have: 1) at least 6+ years of experience with a strong law firm, large corporation, or other sophisticated business organization; 2) experience serving as corporate secretary to a sophisticated board of directors; 3) general corporate experience; 4) relevant commercial contracts experience; 5) excellent negotiation and communication skills; 6) experience providing concise, clear, support to internal clients; and, 7) leadership and mentorship experience.
Energy industry (oil and gas, petrochemical, power or oil field services), construction industry and international experience are a plus.
Candidates must be currently licensed, admitted to practice, and in good standing in the United States, and have a J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
