Provide real estate legal support and counsel on company transactions, primarily including commercial real estate leasing but also including acquisitions and dispositions, ground leases, transactions with municipalities, including zoning changes, entitlement procurement, annexation agreements, and development agreements, financings and related transactions.
Perform such other projects/duties as assigned.
J.D. Degree with proven academic success. Must be licensed in Illinois.
At least 7 years’ experience, preferably in both a law firm and in-house setting representing large corporate clients on sophisticated real estate matters.
Proven ability to project manage real estate transactions and drive them to completion, including the ability to independently structure, draft, negotiate, manage and close a variety of sophisticated real estate transactions, and work closely with management clients, brokers and design professionals.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced critical thinking and analytical ability.
Outstanding client management skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and trust with senior management and other professionals at all levels of the organization.
