Parker + Lynch Legal is working on an exclusive search on behalf of our client, one of the largest technology-based manufacturers. We are seeking a Senior Counsel to fill an integral role providing a variety of general corporate and commercial legal services. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an innovative company with strong growth progression. The company is open to local candidates as well as to relocation candidates.
The successful candidate will: •Oversee the contracting process within the designated business segments and regions. •Negotiate and structure contracts and licensing agreements, supplier agreements, NDAs and other commercial agreements with support from other Company groups. •Assist with legal integration of acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and other possible investments. •Advise corporate officers and managers of company’s legal responsibilities. •Assist with oversight of regulatory compliance within designated regions. •Provide alternative solutions to minimize liability while achieving business goals such as monetizing through licensing deals.
Qualifications: •J.D. from leading law school •Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a technology-orientated, manufacturing public company •Prior Big Law experience strongly preferred •Significant experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts •Superb organizational and verbal and written communication skills •Ability to manage fast-paced workload in a dynamic environment and simultaneously add value to multiple projects •Proactive, self-starter who shows project ownership and enjoys working across departments •Exceptional attention to detail
