This role may also be based remotely in the US. The Corporate Counsel, IP Litigation will be a key member of our Legal Department team and Litigation Practice Group.

The Corporate Counsel, IP Litigation will assist in the management of global litigation-related matters and projects involving intellectual property issues, including fact and expert witness development and discovery in pending litigation, and assist in the management of other litigation projects involving commercial, employment, competition, and compliance law, among other areas.
Depending on the needs of the company and the varying workload, the Corporate Counsel, IP Litigation also may assist with the company’s growing transactions practice and be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts, including: customer-facing non-disclosure agreements, master service agreements, statements of work, amendments, supplier- and vendor-facing service agreements, license agreements, marketing agreements, purchase agreements, and other similar contracts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Management of intellectual property litigation-related projects and other litigation projects involving commercial, employment, competition, and compliance law
Conduct (and defend) depositions for pending litigation and participate in other proceedings as necessary
Coordination with outside counsel and internal legal staff on litigation strategy and review and revision of draft litigation filings
Representation of company in litigation and administrative proceedings brought in Las Vegas federal and state courts
Manage e-discovery and litigation-related document management, record retention, and discovery projects, including document and data collection projects
Develop and update project management programs and internal communications and coordination of pending and prospective litigation
Use of Serengeti Tracker e-billing software for review of outside litigation counsel and third-party provider invoices
Assist global sales team to provide legal diligence to successfully close transactions in a manner consistent with company policies and best interests
Provide other legal support to the Legal Department team and company, as needed
Graduate of an accredited American law school and currently licensed to practice law in good standing in the state of Nevada or another U.S. state
At least 5 years of related experience in private practice required, including experience defending and taking depositions
Experience and demonstrated competence in complex civil case management required
Experience in intellectual property litigation required
Experience in e-discovery projects and technology required
Familiarity and use of project management software preferred
Experience with employment litigation preferred
Familiarity with tech industry a plus
Ability to work remotely when not physically present at primary place of employment
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, as described above and as modified from time to time based on the needs of the company
Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to prepare litigation analyses and other reports, to lead or participate in conference calls, and conduct meetings with third parties
Demonstrated written and verbal trial advocacy skills
Ability to work both independently, as a self-starter with strong work ethic, as well as collaboratively as team player with other internal litigation staff, the General Counsel, and other Legal Department colleagues
Excellent judgment and the ability to function and thrive in a company involved in fast-paced, high-stakes litigation and transactions
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent legal research and writing skills
Able to manage multiple priorities with “can do” attitude, work cross-functionally, and meet tight deadlines
Typically up to 10% domestic travel, except during trials when physical presence required for extended periods
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
Experience with document review software (e.g., Ringtail or Relativity) and other litigation support technology strongly preferred
Experience with project management software preferred
Experience with GoToMeeting a plus
