We are looking for attorneys in the San Francisco Bay Area with experience supporting marketing and advertising teams. Ideal candidates will have at least 5+ years of legal experience in the digital media, advertising, entertainment, and/or social media space including experience in:
Drafting, negotiating and revising SaaS licenses (highly desireable);
Drafting contests and sweepstakes rules, sponsorships, joint promotion, and coupon offers;
Online advertising and digital marketing including display and banner ads, targeting, and insertion orders;
Substantial familiarity with FTC rules and regulations;
Preparing templates related to display advertising, search marketing/optimization, ad targeting and re-targeting, web and search analytics, and ad networks;
Negotiating MSAs, SOWs, content and merchandise licensing, and general commercial transactions;
Supporting marketing and advertising teams; and
Strong working knowledge of trademark and copyright use and protection, data and privacy issues, false advertising, consumer protection and other relevant laws and regulations.
Prior top law firm and in-house experience;
At least 5 years advising companies regarding product marketing and advertising, including ownership of sweepstakes/contest rules, coupon offers.
Ability to think strategically and creatively while providing practical counsel to clients and business.
Have a passion for improvement.
A dynamic personality with a “can-do” attitude.
A JD from a top-tier law school and must be a member in good standing with the California State Bar (RHIC status is not accepted at this time).
