About the North America Government Sector Legal Team:
Oracle’s North America Government Sector Team is responsible for providing legal support for complex software license, hardware, cloud solutions and services transactions with Oracle's government customers and partners; and compliance with applicable laws. Legal Counsel work closely with Oracle executives to draft and negotiate agreements with government customers and often coordinate the efforts of various internal organizations in order to ensure that Oracle contracts comply with company policies and applicable law. In addition, Corporate Legal Counsel take a leadership role in defining policies, practices, and procedures within the Legal Department and Oracle’s business practices organizations; handling complex negotiations; dealing with regulatory issues; and advising management on a broad range of issues.
About the Corporate Legal Counsel Position:
As Corporate Legal Counsel with the North America Government Sector Team, you will join a collaborative group of lawyers with a diverse technology law practice that includes software licensing, cloud services, professional consulting services, computer hardware, engineered systems, partner distribution agreements, government contracts, and data privacy and security issues. Accordingly, this position is best suited for a lawyer who has significant IT and government contracts experience; and the ability to manage a variety of tasks, evaluate alternatives quickly, handle complex negotiations and provide quality legal advice and support to executive-level clients.
- 4+ years of relevant legal experience (position will be corporate/senior corporate counsel depending on experience and overall qualifications)
- Experience in government contracts, privacy and security, software licensing, and cloud services is highly preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative, and dynamic team environment.
- JD from a top law school.
- Outstanding writing and oral communication skills.
- TS/SCI Clearance a plus
- Admission to practice law in the United States.
