Compliance, Corporate Generalist, General Commercial/Contracts
Our client, a publicly traded diversified medical technology company in New Jersey, is seeking an experienced attorney for the position of Corporate Counsel. In this role you will:
Review, draft and negotiate a variety of sales, marketing and procurement agreements, including group purchasing agreements (GPO), standard terms and conditions for the sale of goods, sales representative agreements, service and repair agreements, evaluation agreements, consignment agreements, non-disclosure agreements, material transfer agreements, consulting agreements and clinical trial agreements;
Provide strategic as well as tactical legal guidance to division management;
Establish and drive corporate legal standards for the division;
Counsel on Medicare fraud and abuse issues
Counsel on Promotional Materials and Regulatory and Quality Issues
Assist in due diligence activities with new acquisitions
Candidates should have a JD from an accredited institution and 7 or more years’ experience working on commercial law matters and contract drafting in a corporate department of a law firm or a corporate law department of a company. Pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience is a strong plus. Experience working with GPO agreements, and negotiating with GPOs and large integrated delivery networks (IDN), preferred. Other required skills include:

Demonstrate initiative and ability to manage projects from start to completion;
Operate well independently and without close supervision;
Good organizational and follow-up skills;
Excellent attention to detail;
Remain calm and focused in pressure situations;
