PERMANENT/FULL-TIME: Our client, a financial institution in New Jersey, seeks a candidate for the following opening, and, will consider a Junior Attorney for this job.

- Review, research and respond to Executive/Presidential, Qualified Written Requests, Notice of Errors, Request for Information and Attorney Correspondence in accordance with all procedures and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) guidelines. - Respond to customer inquiries escalated through the executive staff through e-mail or phone calls - Rapidly assimilate a range of complex information and make expert decisions/judgments - Accurately identify issue versus root causes and follow through with remediation and/or process improvement recommendations - Respond in written or verbal communication to customers, clients, regulatory agencies, attorneys, etc. with well thought out, clear, concise and accurate information - Work with all levels throughout the organization to research and resolve complaints in conjunction with regulatory requirements and/or client SLA's - Deal with conflicting demands ensuring key priorities and deadlines are met through effective time management - Work closely with internal/external business partners (clients, vendors) on daily requests/inquiries - Manage workload in conjunction with performance and quality metrics, utilizing resources and escalation processes. - Responsible for oversight and responses of all assigned in-take channels, i.e. chat, social media, correspondence, email, etc. - Keep abreast of new rules and regulations in conjunction with federal and state requirements. - Other duties as assigned
- Four year college degree preferred and, if attorney, JD from an ABA accredited law school - Mortgage Servicing experience (Performing/Non-Performing) a plus - Compliance and Regulatory requirements knowledge/experience a plus - Excellent communication skills, written and verbal - Ability to accurately identify root causes or issues - Experience of investigating and responding to complex issues/complaints. - High level of accuracy and attention to detail - Ability to perform effectively in a fast paced environment - Highly motivated self-starter, ability to work independently as well as in team - Excellent organization and follow up skills
NOTE: If you are a Junior Attorney applying for this opening, you MUST have one active, state law license and NO disciplinary history in ANY jurisdiction. And, of course, you must have an underlying 4-year college college degree and have graduated from an ABA accredited law school!
