Arvato is seeking a talented corporate attorney to join its Legal Department in New York. The attorney will handle a variety of general corporate legal matters and primarily work in close collaboration with the business teams to negotiate transactional documents and manage business risks. The attorney will also assist the human resources and compliance departments and advise on company policies and procedures, and employment matters.
Structure, draft and negotiate a variety of documents, including master services agreements, vendor agreements, lease agreements and employment agreements
Provide business teams and senior management with prompt, pragmatic advice on complex legal issues and operational risks
Conduct legal research and follow regulatory developments
Manage pre-litigation and litigation disputes, including supervision of external counsel
Create and review internal policies and procedures, and other internal and external company communications
Support human resources and compliance departments with employment matters and internal investigations
Strong academic credentials including a J.D. degree and membership in New York bar
3+ years of legal experience as a transactional attorney, including some experience in a top national law firm
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
Excellent writing, oral communication and analytical skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with business colleagues
