Bliss Lawyers is seeking to hire an individual in the role of Director of Business Development in the Midwest, Southern California or Northern California region to handle the day-to-day business development efforts in the Midwest, Southern California or Northern California area. The Director of Business Development will oversee all business development matters in the Midwest, Southern California or Northern California region. Bliss Lawyers is seeking a self-starter who is energetic, dedicated, focused, creative, thoughtful, innovative and supports the model we are building. The Director will provide the leadership, management, planning and vision necessary to ensure that Bliss achieves continued success through the development and expansion of its client base.
This is a full-time position that will be performed remotely; however, the successful candidate must be based in the Chicago, Los Angeles or San Francisco area due to expected regular visits with clients concentrated in this region. The successful candidate must also be willing to periodically travel to the east coast and possibly other locations.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
A minimum of seven (7) years of post-law school experience.
Demonstrated track record of business development experience (within legal services, professional services, corporate America, etc.).
Located in Chicago, Southern California or Northern California and willingness to regularly travel to attend meetings throughout the geographic region.
Willingness to periodically travel to the east coast and possibly other locations.
Experience at a large law firm.
Experience at an in-house legal department.
Experience at a new/alternative legal model.
Telecommuting is allowed.
