CT based Company is seeking an employment lawyer experienced with the employee relations function to join its growing human resources department. This attorney will work on employee relations policies and procedures; planning; performance management processes and other HR initiatives. Attorney will develop and deliver programs that align to the advice and support to human resource professionals related to hiring techniques, wage and hour issues, discrimination claims, EEO, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, harassment prevention, reductions in force, development and implementation of performance improvement plans, talent development, organizational planning and development, labor relations, workplace safety, compensation analysis, recruiting and retention strategies and benefit programs. Attorney will develop programs and facilitate training sessions for human resource professionals; review and audit policies and employment agreements, including non-competition, confidentiality, severance and settlement agreements; coach HR professionals on internal employee-related investigations; work on employment law compliance matters; and provide guidance on employee discipline issues. Location is in Southern CT.
Requirements: Candidates should have a strong background in employment law and be highly skilled in employee relations situations. Project management skills are important. Ideal experience will include a combination of law firm experience, along with serving in an HR employee relations function.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant employment law and HR experience.
