An exponentially growing company in the Orlando, FL, area is adding a Managing Counsel – Labor & Employment. This is a new position available due to growth and reports directly to the General Counsel. This attorney will be responsible for building out the Company’s employment and HR policies and will provide advice to the executive team, regional management, and HR in all areas of employment law, policy, development, and training.
Qualified candidates must have:
At least seven (7) years of dedicated experience focusing on employment law on a national scale, ideally a combination of AmLaw and in-house legal experience
A strong understanding of employment legislation, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, ERISA, and state-specific laws
Experience working closely with high-level executives and human resources professionals to draft, review, and revise employment law and HR policies
Experience developing and implementing employment policies and procedures
Experience advising clients regarding employment practices and regulations in multiple jurisdictions
